POSITION SUMMARY
This position will provide facilities engineering (process) for supporting Permian Operations in meeting production targets, optimizing day:to:day production, and troubleshooting operational issues. The position is based in Seminole, TX. The position requires experience in process engineering/operation of plant facilities for oil and gas production operations. This position reports to the Facilities Engineering Team Leader. Occasional travel to Houston and other Hess assets is required.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
:
Provide daily process engineering support.
:
Develop and review process KPIs for gas plant operation.
:
Develop process optimization plans and recommendations.
:
Identify issues, troubleshoot, and implement solutions.
:
Lead pre:start:up reviews and process safety reviews as necessary to ensure safe operation of all facilities, gathering systems and pipelines
:
Provide technical contribution to planning for maintenance turnarounds.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
:
5+ years of experience in gas plant/refinery process engineering/operations role
:
Ability to mentor and coach others.
:
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with management, technical and field operations staff.
:
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision in a diverse, multidiscipline team environment.
:
Proactive analytical skills with attention to details and process improvements.
EDUCATION/TRAINING
:
B.S. degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
:
Process simulation experience (e.g. Hysys, ProMax, etc.).
:
Strong computer skills including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project.
