I am beginning the process of publishing the first book in a trilogy. My first novel - it is very exciting. I am working with a publishing company and their price to do a book cover seemed a little steep. There acouple of ways I could go with this project.
A. I have a photo that Id love to use of my own taking - have it doctored up a bit and have the title ex put across the front
B. In book one there is this mirror that this girl speaks through - and everyone thinks she is a witch. Its a grand ornate mirror and she's this ultra villainess - my other thought was a front cover with her at her mirror - coming out of the mirror - something. Avon is a dark and terrifying world - a true dystopia ruled over by this horrid Judge - so I would be looking for something in that sort of dark glamour aspect.
Just tossing out some ideas. Look forward to hearing from people.
